The 2026 Western Conference Finals have become a medical drama. Heading into tonight’s Game 3 at Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, three significant contributors — De’Aaron Fox (right ankle), Dylan Harper (right adductor), and Jalen Williams (left hamstring) — are all listed as questionable. The series is tied 1-1.
Williams’ hamstring a real concern for OKC
Williams is the Thunder’s most versatile offensive piece alongside MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. He reaggravated the same left hamstring he strained in Round 1 against Phoenix, playing just seven minutes in Game 2 before exiting. Per ESPN, he traveled with the team to San Antonio and is listed day-to-day with no timetable. The original strain had sidelined him for six games before he returned for Game 1.
Without Williams, Oklahoma City loses the off-ball movement and secondary creation that takes pressure off Gilgeous-Alexander. The Thunder become easier to scheme against.
Fox and Harper testing their bodies for San Antonio
De’Aaron Fox missed both road games in Oklahoma City with right ankle soreness first aggravated against Minnesota. He is a game-time decision again. Harper, who stepped into the starting lineup in Fox’s absence, left Game 2 with a right adductor issue after scoring 12 points in 25 minutes — also questionable per NBC Sports.
That leaves Victor Wembanyama as the one healthy star on the floor. The Defensive Player of the Year set the tone in Game 1 with 41 points and 24 rebounds in double overtime. He will again be asked to carry the franchise if his backcourt is compromised.
What to watch when tip-off arrives
Game 3 tips at 8:30 p.m. ET on NBC. If Williams misses the game, expect OKC to lean even harder on Gilgeous-Alexander isolation sets. If both Fox and Harper are out, Wembanyama’s usage as a ball-handler spikes further. A game already built around two generational talents may become a starker one-on-one contest.
